Sedation Dentistry
Sedation Dentistry is an option to help maintain our patients' comfort level during dental procedures. Sometimes referred to as “comfort dentistry” or “relaxation dentistry,” it describes the feeling most patients have at their appointment.
How it works
After a complete dental examination and review of your medical history, our doctors will prescribe an oral sedative to be taken prior to your dental appointment. This sedative will help keep you relaxed and comfortable during your dental visit.
On the day of your appointment, your companion will escort you to our office, and we will complete your treatment and closely monitor your comfort throughout your visit.
Dr. Campbell and Dr. Nunez are members of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation™, and have received training in dental patient sedation protocols. The medications used are safe and have been used for decades. Several have amnesic properties, meaning that you may remember little to nothing of your time in the dental chair.
